Quality Inspector

Electronics manufacturer is in need of a Quality Inspector to perform detailed inspections of incoming materials.

Responsibilities include:

• Perform Quality inspection of various types of parts such as sheet metal, hardware, electrical components, cables, PCB, electronic components, etc.
• Test parts for RoHS material content using XRF machines
• Use inspection tools such as calipers, micrometer, pin gauges, etc. to inspect a variety of parts
• Utilize and interpret information from engineering drawings, MI, RoHS documents, manufacturers’ specifications and datasheets, etc. to make accept/reject decisions
• General inspection data sheets
• Use computer for daily work
• May be called upon to do in process and final inspection

**Position is temp-to-perm**

Requirements

• 2+ years experience in quality inspection of electrical / electronic components, cables, PCB, sheet metal, hardware, etc.
• Experience and skill in the area of reading and understanding drawings, specifications, is a must
• Good math skills
• Very good knowledge of, and ability to understand, read, write and speak English
• Ability to use computers with ease for test and for recording results of test and inspection is essential
• Skillful in creating Excel spread sheets using simple arithmetic operations such as +, -, /, %, Ave, etc.
• Experience with interpreting the results from inspection tools
• Knowledge of RoHS requirement highly desirable
• Knowledge of IPC-610 and IPC J-STD-001 is a plus
