Product Development Engineer responsible for developing new products, components and assemblies made from wire in various forms. Will be responsible for developing products that complement the existing line of wire products.

Duties

• Research new products and applications and generate product development plans

Work with the sales team as well as new and existing customers to understand needs for new wire based products

Work with product development technicians to fabricate prototype and sample parts

Develop and implement performance test plans on newly developed products

Work with manufacturing engineering department to develop manufacturing process for newly developed products.

Requirements

• Bachelor degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Aerospace)
• 3+ years experience in product development
• Experience in wire forming or spring manufacturing REQUIRED – please do not submit your resume if you do not have this experience
• Experience with Solid Modeling (CAD) – preferably Pro/Engineer
• Strong computer skills, MS Office, Project, etc.
• Experience with common shop tools and measurement equipment
• Must be “hands-on” type person
