Diesel Truck Mechanic / Technician – 2nd Shift*
Diesel Mechanic position which is responsible for diagnosing and repairing medium to heavy-duty Class B trucks and trailers under minimal supervision. Repairs will include Preventative Maintenance inspections and repairs, air and hydraulic brake repairs, tire repairs, warranty procedures, driveline, steering & suspension, electrical trouble-shooting, AC and other duties as assigned.
*2nd Shift Hours: 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM
**Position is temp-to-perm
Requirements
- 2+ years hands on experience as diesel technician/mechanic in a shop environment.
- Must have knowledge of operation, maintenance and repair of Class B trucks.
- Perform daily tasks and diagnostics using a computer software system.
- Read and interpret mechanical diagrams/diagnostics via computer or electronic media.
- Troubleshoot and perform mechanical, air conditioning, hydraulic and welding repairs.
- Analyze and manipulate data in schematics.
- Perform a variety of tasks simultaneously and with repeated interruptions without loss of focus or efficiency.
- Complete tasks with sustained attention and a high degree of accuracy.
- Class B CDL not required to start, but obtaining CDL is a condition of continued employment.
- A high school diploma or an equivalent. ASE certification a plus!
