Electronics Assembler

Specialty Microelectronics company is in need of an Electronics Assembler to perform detailed precision electronic assembly of hybrid circuits.

The qualified candidate, under limited supervision, may use schematics, blueprints or sketches, bonding diagrams, and verbal and written instructions to assemble, rework or reassemble units.

May also perform a number of complex, but repetitive electro-mechanical assembly operations, using tools such as drills, soldering guns, screwdrivers, precision measuring instruments, and other hand held tools. Considerable work is conducted under a microscope.

Will also be trained on manual wire bonding of integrated circuits (ICs) to hybrid alumina substrates.

Requirements

• 2+ years experience in electronics assembly required
• Experience soldering electronics under a microscope REQUIRED
• Wire bonding experience strongly desired
• Must be able to use small tools, such as tweezers, Exacto knives, drills, soldering guns, screwdriver, pliers, crimpers, and other hand held tools.
• Certification in hand soldering to NASA-STD-8739.3 a plus
